Habiganj District

Habiganj district city stand on the bank of the Khoai River and located at 23˚57”-24˚42” N & 91˚100"-91˚400" E. It was established in the 1867 century. It consists of eight upzilas, six Pourasavas (Municipality) and seventy seven Unions. Habiganj District has a strong history and heritage in diversified culture with indigenous Monipuri, Tripura, Khasia, Bania, Ralikhasia, Banarjee, Urang, Jangli, Telegu & Bihare people. During the Sultansee Hablee establisher Sayed Hedayed Ullah son Habib Ullah established Bazar/Ganj in the bank of Khoai River.
